THE PUSSY RIOT’S WORLDWIDE – The Fear Of The F-Word

These days it seems like the word Feminism has become a real F-word like Fuck, Fucking, Fucked to many people, men and women, and ironically, also to people who is actually feminists, whether the know it them self or not. I personally got a on/off problem with using the word feminist to describe where I’m standing, since it tends to be misunderstood, even by some feminists also. If you look up the word Femininity, you will find the definition: A set of attributes, behaviors, and roles generally associated with girls and women. So its understandable why some men and more masculine women can have a hard time identify with “being a feminist”, since it can sound like its about being feminine, and the feminine being the good and right to be over masculine. For some feminists it seems like its about moral purity, anger against everything macho (Masculine in an overly assertive or aggressive way/ A man who is aggressively proud of his masculinity, (oxforddictionaries.com)) and no sexualization being “natural” to a point when it becomes a fear/something wrong to be sexy and desired by the opposite sex, for others a almost macho agression to show of the female body and sexuality with an anger towards men.Yes, with the term feminism is stucked to fixed ideas about right and wrong gender behavior, and a lot of understandable anger, who takes the the focus and real meaning of what feminism is all about on a global level  far far away.

Feminism is about a lot of things in the name of female liberation and equality, and sexualty is of course a big part of it, since sexuality is a undeniable part of every indendity of every individual. Like WeArePussyRiot wrote on their youtube channel for this video:

Female power and female sexuality are yet need to be discovered. Discussed. Performed. Lived up. Which is also one of the reason why I feel and love how I can break free and trough, living out my Super-Ego and different sides of my identity through my pornographic work and art. And I love how mainstream porn are getting more kinky, gender bending, experimenting, creative and body positive.

I love The Slut Walk (transnational movement calling at the end of rape culture), but as I once wrote about The Danish Girls Squad  (Louise ‘Twerk Queen’ Kjølsen, Nikita Klæstrup & Ekaterina Krarup Andersen) who wrote the “Ludermanifest” ( The Hooker Manifest), but ain’t speaking up for and about sexworkers or sexworkers rights in it, I think women should be REALLY careful and more thoughtful about the words we use on yourselves. A Prostitute sells sexual services for money and a Slut is generally a term for a woman or girl who is considered to have loose sexual morals/promiscuous. A life with many sex partners, doesn’t make you a whore, hooker, loose or promiscuous, not even if your in porn or a sex worker of any kind, since porn is the art of illustrating fantasies and business, like prostitution is business and not loose. But like the word feminism we have to call things something that highlights the message, and I do think Slut Walk is a “in your face-term” catching attention on the topic, like feminism should be. So let’s hope people will take their time researching what its all about, before they make up their oppinion. And The Western World and men will realize how Pick Up Culture is linked to Consumerism and Rape Culture, being to desperate to “score” and get the sex-objects ego-boots one way or another (putting pressure or rape on girls and woman, too drunk, drugged, pressured or raped, with no feelings, empathy or respect. So logically many women need to be in a total opposite reaction after years of being trapped in whore or Madonna boxes, in a world wide Madonna/Whore Complex in brainwashed cultures for decades.

Another hot feminist topic is The new danish Burka Bann. Personally I think the bann is as stupid as laws against being naked (not really necessary, expect from specific situations), but I do think  left-rad wing feminists saying that it’s mean to women, minorities and against women’s rights is directly stupid (!) Burkas and Niqābs are not a law against being Muslims, hijabs, or not dress like you want, it’s about the opposite of being naked, a law against being TOTALLY COVERED (expect from the eyes), and totally being covered in the case of Muslim women is because of men and patriarchy AND very un-feminist. But as well as I don’t believe in laws against prostitution to save women from bad men, I don’t believe in a burka/niqāb bann to save women either. I believe in taking sensitive topics/global feminist issues up for real, with the people it concerns represented and speaking for themselves in the mainstream media debates! We need to speak up against and about the fact that sexism and patriarchy has roots in all cultures around the world, therefor feminism’s a GLOBAL WORLDWIDE issue, and racism even “positive racism” only makes it worse. Louise ‘Twerk Queen’ Kjølsen calls twerking a feministic thing, but it’s not per defination, it’s a dance from black culture, and I understand why black feminist are angry about having it being represented that way, with no further discussion of the roots, and being  “positive exotic sex objects” to white men, and black culture loving girls using it as a personal riot move.. superficially. And in the mainstream-popularity of the 50 shades of grey BDSM-boom, where many white men would really like “a black female slave-girl”. Which make black womens sexual issues and fights even more complex, if they do like being dominated sexually by white men. In America back women have been over-sexualized since the birth of their nation, since they was taking as slaves, and therefor a lot of women became sex-slaves as well. Literature, rhetoric, film, television, newspaper, magazines, social media, propaganda, law, etc., have performed as tools, used by white America, to sexualize and devalue the bodies of black women, and even some black hip hop. Cause as popular as it is for hip hop artists to use their platform for the greater good, there is also an equally popular trend of using black women as props in music videos, that have spread all over the western world through pop culture. For women as props in male videos being cool, you have to be un-sexist and ready to protect and love women as a real man.

The black woman’s ‘big butt’  and ’big lips’ has been considered a distinct point of fascination for centuries. And over time big butts and lips have become associated with black women as a whole, and now a trend for white girls to get now to be mainstream sexually attractive.  So cultural sexism combined with racism is not to be ignored. The hip hop  videos made it “real hip hop, macho, cool and gangster “to try black pussy, big ass and lips”. It’s nice to be confident recognized sexy as a female, but never to be a strictly sex-object, with your body separated from your person in sex and relationships. Women from Thailand got problems being labelled for sex/slave wives for white men. And the list goes on and on.

For women, feminism should be about sisterhood and seeing the problems globally as well as personally. Worldwide the F-word is not only about rights, but also norms and pop-culture.

Being a feminist doesn’t mean manhater. Being a feminist doesn’t mean that you want everybody and everyone to be feminine. Being a feminist doesn’t mean that you blame men for all your problems. But i does mean that you know that the gender issues are real, and you cant stop fighting for women’s rights and fight sexism, homophobia, trans-phobia, and racism for an equal humanity daily in your words and actions..

And remember this:

You need your masculine side to fight, and your feminine side to empathize!

Don’t fear the F -Word, just get it right. And always remember..

The Pussy Riot’s worldwide!

XOXO

With Love & Anger
